750,000 km, 102 hours, 45 mintes and 433 seconds after lift-off, the Apollo 11 Lunar Module touched down safely on the Sea of Tranquility after narrowly avoiding a hazardous boulder field during decent...
6 hours and 37 minutes later, astronout Neil Armstrong stepped down onto the lunar surface and became the first man on the moon, relaying back to mission control perhaps the defining statment of the 20th century.

The astronauts then used the Speedmaster to time a 2.5 hour-long moonwalk gathering rock samples and performing a range of experiments.
