TMS Mobile Service: Presentation

It’s been few years now that mobile phones offer internet access via GPRS or 3G. But it’s really difficult to access an Internet Mobile Site because the navigation of the phone is not user friendly and it’s also difficult to type the mobile address on the phone.
Few years ago, the 2D barcodes (an evolution of the traditional 1D barcodes that can host more information) arrived (first in Japan) and offered a user friendly way to access a Mobile Internet Site on the phone.

What is TMS?
“TMS” which is an evolution of SMS driven by a Mashup of 3 success stories: SMS premium, Google search and Japan QR codes, propose to associate “Innovation” (barcodes) & “Security” (Search) to provide a direct access to mobile content generated.

The TMS Codes solution to promote and access directly to mobile content (or launch an action such as a mobile transaction) is a “code alphanumeric” associated to a unique 2D barcode itself associated to a URL (or an action) to launch

- The user can also use the TMS mobile barcode reader to scan the TMS 2D barcode and access the page. (It’s the same model as the Japan QR codes).
"TMS Barcodes Reader", is a FREE application that can be downloaded and by opening this application, it allows users to access a mobile site linked to a barcode.

When you see a 2D barcode and a TMS Code in your favorite Magazine or Web site, you can use the TMS reader to scan it or you can just enter the TMS code in TMS Search

How to start with TMS?

Be sure that your GPRS, 3G or WIFI phone service is activated (contact your Telco to enable it, it's FREE).

1a) Go with your mobile browser (icon Web) to www.tmssearch.com and bookmark the page (for futures uses) and enter the codes

1b) More fun! Download and install the FREE TMS Hyperlink “barcode reader”. Go to TMS mobile site direct with your phone. http://www.tmsrepublic.com, or TMS web site same address.

You can also Text “TMS” to 91 984 83 56 765 to receive directly the links on your phone

2) Open the application and Scan the Barcode with your camera phone (depending on your phone model, the code is either immediately recognized by the camera or you have to click on the barcode; follow the menu on your phone) or you can enter the code (the numerical code underneath the 2D barcode) just going to TMS search.

How much will it cost me?

The downloading of the application and the use of TMS are FREE excluding the Telco charges for the Internet connection (if you don’t use Mobile WIFI).
After that, it’s exactly the same as Internet and Web sites. You can then go to Free Mobile sites or to Mobile stores to buy contents or other products.
